Bio
Max is a German artist based in Rio who depicts the intersection between culture, nature, and human intervention in the environment.
Max Cramer studied Media Sciences at Mediadesign Hochschule in Berlin and Düsseldorf, where he developed an interest in photography as his primary medium.
He trained with London-based photographer Benjamin Kaufmann and subsequently worked as a photographic assistant to Tomo Brejc, Miles Aldridge and Max Cardelli in London.
From 2013 to 2021, he was Creative Director for Nan Goldin, working between Berlin, Paris and New York.
Since 2024, Cramer has been working on his ongoing photographic project *We Just Want to Live Our Lives* in Rio de Janeiro.
