Berlin
Wide streets, empty plots, cranes on the horizon. In summer, green parks and open-air bars. In winter, a grey grid under low clouds. The air is dry, the light pale. Once a city of freedom. Empty buildings turned into studios, clubs, and shared flats. Nights without end. The promise of space and time. Now façades are polished, rents are high, and corners are closed off. The rough edges are smoothed, and the noise is measured. Investors walk where we once danced. Still, the city remains restless — changing, resisting, repeating itself. A place difficult to photograph. A surface that never stays the same.
